Apartment for a classic car collector: 1000 sq. ft.

The owner, a classic car collector, wished to have automobile references in the space’s interior design, reflecting his passion for cars. We decided to approach this task by making these allusions not immediately obvious. Thus, exotic walnut floors resemble the dashboard of a Jaguar, all the wall panels and custom-designed furniture were trimmed by a car trimmer using BMW leather. The glass kitchen-top was painted Mercedes silver, and the ceramic wall in the living room was shipped from Fiorano, the town known among others for the Ferrari racing circuit. Our signature material, marble was used to create a kitchen top-dining table, weighting 320kg, which had to carried up the stairs by ten people.
